The Towers

I made it to Chicago fine with only minor traffic annoyance at the tolls before the Loop. The drive was odd. I was listening to Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher which is a pretty depressing depiction of her life, and sanity. Lots of stories about broken relationships, drugs and electro-shock therapy. Her life was interesting but I think she's an average to poor writer.. or maybe a terrible audiobook voice.

Either way, got here feeling pretty weird. Went for a walk around the medical district with camera; I got asked for money by a crazy-eyed woman with a small child, eyed by the police and watched a sunset.

Currently I'm in a bit of a funk. First time I've been alone for the last week and a half and my brain is stuck in neutral cogitating on past Sundays. Which I wished I'd get over right about now.

Positives: Some neat photos, though Photomatix isn't dealing with some of them well at all. I don't think It likes the d90 files. I have a tasty smelling sandwich and was giving a gift bag from the hotel manger because of who I work for.

Hopefully food will kick my brain into gear.

Yeah. Food helped. Stupid hypoglycemia.

Welcome to Chciago

Is the medical district interesting? I passed it this morning on the train. Want to do something Wednesday evening?

Re: Welcome to Chciago

I have the whole day off. I can meet you near you and we can do some sort of meal or whatnot. We can try for chicago pizza if you'd prefer, or other meal or event. I'm really totally willing to do whatever.
