Because I got home late and came home to satin sheets.
I have a sinking suspicion that I'll be doing a photowalk soon. Seems some people I know have new cameras. These people may not just be me. Stay tuned!

I slept terribly last night.
And I am in such a fantastic mood today.

The two previous statements may be related.
And! Some odd chickadee created an LJ feed to my twitter account: abmanntwitter. So, if you don't get enough of my weirdness, enjoy taking one side of a conversation out of context, but don't want a Twitter account, this is your answer.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

The Grue devours you before you have a chance to scream.

Holy shit, you are gaining a fandom. Before you know it, the rabid fans shalt be unleashed unto the world.

I instill a quiet fervor rather than a rabid fanaticism.

This is because your kettle is just sizzling on the stove of fame, wait until it boils as it simmers; wait until it boils...!

Oh, you assume I want raucous fans. It's the quiet ones that burn the brightest. ;)

The RSS feed for your twitter appears to be misbehaving. Or at least behaving in ways I don't approve of. Heh. It is checking only once a day and then dumping everything from that 24 hours on my flist one after the other. Is there a way I can adjust how a feed checks its source? I want it to post your twitters more often, to more accurately match when they are written. I don't mind that they aren't batched into one post.

Wait. It now appears to be checking once an hour. Nevermind. I think all is cool.

Oh yeah, RSS feeds dump the most recent contents at first and then tend to check regularly. So.. there ya go. :)

I have new cameras! I have no idea how they work at all! Or if they work!

But you knew that.

Yup. I can teach you all about exposure settings. It'll be great. :) Best way to test a camera is to run some film through. If we take notes on the shots taken, we can even asses things like shutter lag, lens distortion, or aperture warping with a test load.

Or we could just take oodles of photos and not care about that much detail!

I will have to do research, I am not sure if my new cameras can even accomodate modern film. If not I'll have to figure out how to get old film.

I think one of the newer ones might, though.

Do you know what kind of camera it is? If it takes 120mm film, there are ways to re-spool modern 120 film to have it work in most old cameras.

If it is a wacky size, it maybe harder. :/

Otherwise, you'll just have to join me with your boring old digital camera on the next walk.

I don't remember what two of them are, but one is an old Brownie. The others are slightly more modern, I think. I'll pull them out when I get home and give you some more details. I also brought home a very old textbook about photography that may shed some light on how to get them working.

My poor digicam. Brian thinks we may be able to fix it by buying a new screen for $35, which would be nice since a new one would run me at least $500
