all over the place tis morning.
The world must be ending. There's snow on the ground and people were driving carefully this morning. Apocalypse.
Are you sick of people talking about snow yet???

Mirror's Edge is abusing me but I keep going back for more. The game is HARD (and I've got it on "easy") and the controls aren't exactly five finger friendly.

Eh. I haven't done anything interesting recently; at least nothing you care about. Guess I better get addicted to crack again. I have a body composition test at 5 today. That should provide adequate humiliation for an interesting post.

I have no idea how to classify my activity level. I exercise every other day or so. To lose about two pounds a week, does that translate to 2000 or 1500 calorie diet per day? Probably the latter because that's harder and diet and exercise is never easy.

Wearing cuff-links today.

people were driving carefully this morning

I noticed that! Nobody was tailing me on Verona Rd. Nobody cut me off on the beltline. Nobody cut me off anywhere. Average speed on Verona Rd. was 60mph. Average speed on the beltline was 50mph. People were even going around the corners more slowly than they normally do! Could it be that the sheer quantity of snowfall and length of winter last year created memories (or taught lessons) that have lasted throughout the change of the seasons?

Re: people were driving carefully this morning

One can only hope. Constant fear of winter driving is waring thin. I'd rather like to relax on the road at some point.

Or, I guess I can finally move where it doesn't snow.

Do crack before the body comp.

Thanks for reminding me to look out the window! My in-laws from CA (including my 15-mo-old nephew) enjoy a bit of snow... but the coats they brought with them are laughably lightweight.

My mother was texting me all this weekend about the 75 degree weather in Arizona this week. She was wearing shorts. :/

God, there is no way in hell you could get me to take a body composition test. You're a braver man than I.

I took one once, it was weird. It was in a pool and you had to blow out all your air and try to sink. It's harder than it sounds.

Yeah, it's rarely a great experience. Last time I went in, I was at 17% body fat. That's about 18 pounds pure fat that I want to lose to be at my personal ideal body composition.

The water test is a much more accurate test. Princeton has calipers which tends to be less exact but evens out over time. So, as this is my 4th test, it should be pretty good.

At least it's free at my gym? That sorta helps...

That's not too bad, 18 lbs is doable in about a year or so.

I've never done calipers, that looks sort of humiliating. At least with the water test nobody touched me and my rolls.

I think my goal is 30 lbs, but for now I'm just trying to get off the damn plateau. : P Bodypump is helping.

That's funny. I wasn't even awake for 3 minutes this morning when I looked out the window and saw somebody turn into a parking lot and fishtail so that the car turned a full 90 degrees past its intended direction. All I could think was And so it begins again...

I heard of a few accidents on Midtown this morning. I guess I was just lucky.

I like starting my day with fear of death. It's more filling than Oatmeal.

I was pretty shocked at how badly people drive when I spent my first Midwest winter here. I thought people would be used to driving in snow since it happens every year, In California we have the same problem with rain. People immediately drive like shit even when it's little more than a gnat's tear wet out.

I'm guessing your snow is a hell of a lot worse than anything we get in England, and yet STILL the moment 1cm settles on the ground there is widespread panic, trips are cancelled, the weathermen shakes their heads as if the apocalypse is nigh!
