That would be a lot easier. I must have washed my hands about 40 times today and disinfected at least 10 highchairs and changing mats.

Then again I work in a childcare centre, so it's protocol not OCD. :)

Yeah, is it any wonder that allergies in children just keep going up, up, up?

Not really, the kids still eat dirt and pick their noses, they spend a lot of the day grubby. We make them wash their hands with regular soap before eating and after painting etc, just like normal people.

The disinfecting and hand washing is as much to keep the staff from continuously getting sick, which we still do anyway. It's pretty important to disinfect a change table every time to, to avoid, you know, fecal contamination.

I'm not sure I agree with wearing gloves to feed babies though, it seems a bit cold.

It's the families that always have the antibacterial hand rub that are a worry.
