Epic Campus - HDR

View On Black
--
I went out and took some early morning photos on my way to class on Tuesday. Lovely light.

Also, I'm listen to the influence if some photograghers in trying to tone down the garrishness of the HDR processing. So, I toned down the contrast and range. Going monochrome wasn't my intention, I just liked it better than the color.

say, would it be possible sometime (likely on a weekend) to wander the new campus with you and take some pictures?

i don't know what epic's policy is regarding those things, but they'd just be for portfolio use, not for resale (i could even pass it off as coursework; the commercial photo students just did architectural interiors there this afternoon.)

I contacted Legal about it. I'll let you know what they tell me.

Garish-shmarish. They're just jealous.

Well, one of them may have been, but the other is one of the real classy and artistic types.

Sometimes people don't like seeing every photo of theirs look like a comic book illustration. I'm one of them. 80% of the HDR shots I see all look less like they were creative captures and more like they were penned by Alex Ross.

That said, you could probably illustrate some great comics using HDR.

This is one of the few HDR processes I've seen that didn't look really fake in the process. Good job!
