For you gamers, old school gamers:
Duke Nukem Forever... they actually have "several hours of fairly polished game to play."

That's good. It's only been under development since, what? '97? At this point, if it releases, people will be so dumbfounded that they'll love it simply for the inevitable stripper boobies.

My interests as of late have been so... gamey. I'll get back to the sex and art posts eventually.
Well. Maybe. I likes me some Tiger Woods 09. :)

Current Mood: amused amused

This game is practically Daikatana at this point. I love Duke Nukem, but this has switched hands so many times that I'm wondering if it's even worth it now.

I can't believe I'm also stating this when I'm eagerly awaiting Jagged Alliance 3.

Daikatana released as was ass on a hard drive. I don't think you can compare the two until DNF actually comes out.

It helps that DNF has had a storm of advertising since the '90s too; much of Daikatana's failure came from extreme hype and the linking of the hype directly to John Romero, who was kind of a putz. So, it seems that DNF is progressing more like Too Human. in which case, it'll be playable, enjoyable but not revelatory.

I think the fact that DNF is taking forever is contributing to this basis though. I mean, c'mon! I know they're trying to keep each bit up with the times, but this game of catchup they keep running with it isn't helping when the franchise is getting more and more forgotten. They'll have to run a marketing blitz just to remind gamers what this is again if they plan on making money out of this regardless of how it comes out.

Eh, I hope the best for them all the same. I love DN3D, but this whole project status is leaving me iffy.

OH! Hey, you can download DN3D on Xbox Live now. :D You should buy one and we could play. Maybe even convince assfingers to hook it up.

Uhhh, I have no XBox.

Actually, for that matter, I have no TV either. I tried messing with a PS2 for awhile, but sharing it with a brother tends to leave you with a game time of two hours a week.
