What do you think? Does every girl love a man who measures up? Is it simply penis size? Or is Clive really getting at some mental or emotional standard to which a man must aspire in order to get her "here's now."

Clive. Propounding such complex questions with ease....

Feasting on Asphalt is the best food show ever. I'm sorry, but it just is and you will have to accept it. Alton Brown is goofy and excited to try the food and banter with the cooks. He was joking about his dead grandmother owing him money.

I just heard a commercial prefixed to an NPR podcast I'm listening to. it was for a John Adams documentary on the History Channel in the next few weeks. My reaction word-for-word:
"Oh! That would be cool. John Adams was awesome. Wait, did I just think that?"

Yeah. I'm that sort of person now.

I still take pictures of myself in every bathroom I go into (except my own... usually). I don't post many of them because bathroom light tends to be pretty awful. Every once in a while I get something really cool with it.

Cross-processed in Photoshop. It's subtle. Most of the color is from using sunlight white balance against old tungsten bulbs.

I don't know what this means, but I think that I -should- know, right? I mean, I KNOW about lightbulbs!

I wonder if Clive would be better off pondering 'women' instead of 'girls.' In my experience, a lot of girls don't have enough life experience to Here's Now like Clive might be envisioning.

It's all color temperature. When set to day light the camera expect color temps around 5500K. If you shoot in non-sunlit conditions with that set, the white point won't be white in the picture and have a hue. In this case, an orange-ish color cast. I'm not exactly sure the chemistry involved in original film and how it applies to digital sensors. Maybe one of my awesome photog friends can fill in the details for me?

<looks around>

Clive just needs a date, I think.

Anthony Bourdain would kick Alton Brown's ASS. No Reservations is the best food show ever. Did Alton kill his own food with a rifle? I think not.

Herr Bourdain isn't as funny as Alton brown nor as smart. These are important. But No reservations is a very, very, very close second.

Hells yes Anthony B is funny. He's a smart ass. So that covers both of it.

I love the Natt Spil's bathroom.

You should take some shots in there!

Oh hey, I should organize a week of bathroom shots for the photogs on my list! Everyday a different bathroom self-portrait in town. Interested?

size isn't everything. and agreed, try for the ladies and and the women instead of the girls.
Now, I will say size can be a contributing asset or detriment, but to be honest, the most important thing for most women, is still, can you make them flush, blush and truly enjoy the moment, this doesn't always mean just that one organ, there are many more ways to "please". We both already know this.. but clive dear... keep focus on just one thing, and you run out of tools soon.

Heh, so that message was spam. I was mostly amused by its cadence and posted it. I suppose I should have been more clear. :)

This, however, doesn't make you any less correct! maybe I should forward him some of my cial1!s spam...

ah, I didn't realize clive was not a friend of yours. beg pardon.

hmmm, better to not waste your time with spamming a spammer...or more, he is probably only the email address used, not truly the sender.

somehow, that sounded dirty when I said it, and truly.. I was innocent there too

I can fix it in Aperture or Photoshop so easily though I generally ignore it. In this case, i liked the tonal shift especially when I applied the cross process layers so I left the colors as captured.

Why buy a filter when I paid all that money for the programs? I bought my laziness! It was expensive!

You'll find I'm not often clever (at least not in the way you appear to be), but I'm honest and always willing to share my opinion when it's asked for...

No - size doesn't matter. Well, okay, it does - but anything close to "the average" or more is fine and dandy, assuming someone knows how to use it. AFTER, of course, using multiple other body parts to tease, stimulate, and appreciate the other partner/s and themselves.

And, um...maybe I'm getting old, but "here's now" is not my goal anymore. And I'm rapidly becoming convinced that if that's what you focus on, you're not doing it "right."

I'm much more interested in someone who's aware and responsive and 'interactive' and passionate - intelligent sex, not just "let's bang away" sex....(although when you have time constraints, the latter can be pretty darn satisfying)

In other words, the brain and intention and attention need to measure up more than the tool does...

Tell Clive to use his brain and read the Kama Sutra before he uses his....ummmm.....other (hind)brain.

Thanks. I like that you're honest and open!

This was spam, though. I was amused by it's vague silliness but skipped mentioning because I thought I was being cheeky in my response. Chalk this up to either bad humor or unfamiliarity?

Could I honestly have a friend named Clive? Gosh, how dreadfully boring a name. Couldn't abide, I couldn't.

Ah...but creativity can abound everywhere...as can philosophy.

And besides, you got to hear some people's honest answers - bonus to Clive for starting the conversation! (even if he couldn't hold one himself....) ::grin::

Uh - dare I point out that the name "Clive" sounds quite Victorian, as does "couldn't abide, I couldn't"? Are you confused or merely complex? lolol.....
