Sunday! So, it looks like next Sunday (Sept 2nd) alyska and I are going antiquing in Columbus, wi. Apparently they have a huge antiques mall open everyday with great old camera potential. There are also a number of other antique shops we'll likely hit too.

Now, tandu may be joining us (or we may be joining him, I dunno) depending on his crazy tenants craziness. But regardless, a trip to Columbus will happen next Sunday. Would anyone else like to join us? I figure we'll leave around 10am and get there around 11. We can hit a few shops before lunch and then go to The Big One after the Foodening. They all seem to be centrally located, minus two outliers, and the town small enough to walk everywhere. So, wear comfy shoes. :)

Cameras optional but I'll probably have three with me. :P

Edit:tandu has other plans for Sunday. That means I'll be leaving for Columbus around 10. I have three more seats available in my car for interested parties. Pick ups possible since I'll be driving to the East Side anyway. :)

Sorry. Sunday is DEFINITELY out.

I've got a date with a lovely lady to spend the whole day in bed. Don't know if we'll actually do that, but that's the plan.

As for Foodening: I'd recommend either the Apple Tree (Good lunches) or the Capri (A steak house). There's a Culvers and a Subway on the outskirts of town, but you can get those anywhere.

Stay away from the Columbus Restaurant, and the Chinese place.
Day One Pizza is decent, if unexceptional. So is the other pizza place.

There's another place on James Street, that says something about homemade soup. I've never eaten there. The blue moon burned down, but they had EXCEPTIONAL pizza.

I think that's about it. Have fun!

Okie-dokie. I'll keep those restaurants in mind.

I would be interested, I like wandering around antique shops. I think that is the day adsartha is going to Chicago for a concert so I would be a loose ends. I mean there is only so much Bioshock one can play.

Why is it so face-meltingly (or computer-meltingly) good?
abmann From: abmann Date: August 28th, 2007 05:44 pm (UTC) (Link)
I honestly have no idea. I've never played it. :)
