L'Etoile - Portrait of a Young Man as The Artist — LiveJournal
My quick take on L'Etoile:
Not good enough.

The atmosphere was stodgy and superior. The seating was uncomfortable. The food was OK but I don't think what I'd expect for the price. My entree was flavorful but impossible to cut. Fox's was dull. The appetizers, dessert and cheese course we're quite good though, but not enough so as to offset the rest.

i have zero desire to go back .

In comparison, Harvest was far better and about the same rates. In fact, we spent most of the night reminiscing about last year's dinner there.

Back to stock research. So far I know I want to buy Apple, especially before June.
I''m also considering Toyota, Barnes and Noble, and AT&T. I'm looking for small-cap stocks I actually know. i want the high risk but I want to know the company.

I've been there twice, once in '04 and once in '07. Back in '04 Odessa Piper was still head chef and working in the kitchen. It was absolutely amazing. When I went back three years later after she sold the restaurant to her co-owner and new head chef it had become very disappointing. It's sad.

I forget--did you go to La Paella? and did you like it, if so?

I'm really bummed that i didn't get to go there back in the day. I'm not really much for super foofy food, but I hear it used to be much better. My brother used to work there and my mom went every so often with friends, and when she went back this last time she said that it just wasn't the same and she probably woudln't go back. Such a shame.

For my money, a place like Muramoto is so much more tasty and fun.
