Pretend slacker? - Portrait of a Young Man as The Artist — LiveJournal
Pretend slacker?
I failed miserably at getting "late" today only getting here within average winter lateness time - 7:15.
I've cleared my schedule after 3 o'oclock so I can go home early. That will put me at 50.75 hours this week.
I'm very much looking forward conquering the totally one arm unfriendly Wii tonight. :)

So, since I'm not an uber dork I know nothing about the game field for this console. What games exist besides the new Zelda game, which I'm getting as soon as I figure out how to use the two controllers with one hand and a nub. I'm sure the WarioWare game is fun but short as will be the Cooking Mama port from the DS. But.. um? Anything else? :)
Neat. New SSX game (release TBD) for the Wii. :)

DAMN IT. Zelda game requires swinging and button presses on the nunchuck to perform certain moves. It's not just for walking. Crap. This is going to be interesting.

Current Mood: good good

There's a surgery game out there (it's a DS port) that looks amazing on the Wii. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance got good reviews. The Wii sports game (is that bundled?) is supposedly the ultimate party game. Check out www.gamespy.com/wii

Re: wii

I was hoping the nunchuck was only the joystick. I was planning to tie the thing to my arm and using my right thumb on the stick as needed. :) However, for the zelda game, moving the remote is an action as is moving the nunchuck. Therefore, any motion on my part to bring the two together in order for my right hand to hit any of the buttons on the 'chuck means in-game consequences.

I assume I'll eventually learn to use this to my advantage as either motion is an attack but is tricky none-the-less. This console is going to be a pain to play properly but I like a challenge. :)

Re: wii

Won't work for the Wii. Both parts have separate motion sensors that the system uses for separate actions. If I could remove the sensor from the 'chuck and keep it separate while collapsing the buttons to a single controller, that would work just fine.

Re: wii

I know that. I was mainly asking if you had seen it at all for other gaming endeavors.

I wouldn't think moving the buttons over would be all that hard as far as these things go.

Re: wii

It doesn't work with most Wii games currently. By design, I imagine.
