Gratzie
Thanks to everyone that defended me from Mr. Snarky. I think I'll post nothing but cats and cat eye photos for the rest of my life. A specialty, in fact. I'll have an entry in the yellow pages and everything. And I'll friend quarantine and make sure I comment in all of his entries with my newest masterpiece.

Of course, right now I have nothing new. Cold weather is pretty limiting. I suppose I should start going to like... events or something.
Like OMG! Any neat events happening in Madtown the next few days? Mm... Pat McCurdy.

My office is frickin' cold. Damn heater is sluggish.

Current Mood: cold cold

blackdreams From: blackdreams Date: December 5th, 2006 03:58 pm (UTC) (Link)
indie music. saturday, i think it's an all day thing with lots of artists. i don't know where though, i'll ask josh for ya, he knows all the info.

Er.. indie is a little general now, I don't have a specific sound in my head to describe indie.

Thank you, though. I like free shows and a chance to get photos of/for the bands.

Yeah but they're all differant music, i can't not be general.

abmann From: abmann Date: December 5th, 2006 04:35 pm (UTC) (Link)
Er.. did you not know that? I forget who does and doesn't 'round here. :| Yeah, I have no left arm below my elbow.
blackdreams From: blackdreams Date: December 5th, 2006 04:48 pm (UTC) (Link)

sorry!

Oh, geez I thought you were joking. You're not joking right?
How did that happen, or where you born without it?
abmann From: abmann Date: December 5th, 2006 05:09 pm (UTC) (Link)

Re: sorry!

Heh, nope not joking. :) No need to be sorry.
Yeah, birth. I've convinced dozens of children that the boogey man exists though.

Re: sorry!

Re: sorry!

I think about it often. It's one of those weird issues that crops up often. I especially hate it whn meeting new people online. When do yuo bring that up, especially if you meet somewhere like OK Cupid? Christ. Drop a big bomb, and it's not my only bomb to drop on dating sites. Oy.

Re: sorry!

like you're self concious about it?
and i can see the akwardness of when/should i tell someone i'm meeting. you don't want to make it sound like they might be shallow enough to care, yet you don't want to surprise them and leave them feeling "unprepared" i guess.
I think, really, when someone is physically differant, people are MOST worried that they're going to say something stupid, or look too much.
Like that one x-mas comcercial where a couple goes to a relatives house and they guy accidentally says, "Hi Aunt mole!"
ok, now i'm rambling.

Joanna Newsom, Smog, Bro. Ali Play Madison Pop Fest

Kudos to the University of Wisconsin for putting on a college show without the likes of Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and Kill Hannah.

The college's Madison Pop Festival, which runs from December 8 through 9, boasts a lineup including Joanna Newsom and her 11-piece orchestra, Bill Callahan (the man formerly known as Smog), Brother Ali, Ambulette, Hockey Night, and more. And did we mention that the entire thing is free?

The fest is set to take place at various venues around campus. For a full artist roster, head here.

That guy is an ass. I say we find his life boats, and put holes in them.

And that cat looks just like my old kitty, Blinken. Does he bite noses?
abmann From: abmann Date: December 5th, 2006 04:14 pm (UTC) (Link)

That is Electrea. She doesn't bite noses but does chase shadows, suckle fleece, and attack feet under blankets.
spitefairy From: spitefairy Date: December 5th, 2006 07:25 pm (UTC) (Link)
I bet she'd bite noses if you gave her the chance.
abmann From: abmann Date: December 5th, 2006 07:28 pm (UTC) (Link)
We taught her (and the other cats) to give kisses, actually. When presented with human face she gives little pecks. It's adorable.

THAT PHOTO

-is CuteOverload worthy. At least, compared to most of the crappier images I've been seeing there lately. Hills of cottony kitty goodness make this one seem like one huge bundle of plushie.
