I seems to have scheduled myself work up to 9 o'clock today. Bleh.
To Do tonight:
  • Schedule federation meeting.
  • CD testing.
  • Get allergy meds (go out while installing CD test version).
  • Edit Pumpkin Pick photos
  • Burn CD for Wisconsin farms book.
  • eat?
  • Sleep?
  • Find all the damn pens I taken home and return them to work.

Hmm... I still need a PDA. TX's are too expensive but I'd need wireless and email access. Well.. want, not need.

No thanks. Cingular's data transfer contracts are currently crap-tastic and would cost me far more than they should. Plus, 90% of the time I want to check email, I'm near a wireless connection so no need to do it over cell.

I'm also firmly staking my territory in "combing disparate thingers makes for less good thingers" the more I use my current cel phone/camera. I'd rather have a realy solid PDA than a smartphone that pisses me off because of some half-assed functionality or too many features I don't really need.

I have an old Compaq/HP pda that I'd also sell ya. What are you looking for?

Goodness, you're like a drug dealer. A drug dealer in a wedding dress. Much better than my tutu-wearing dealer. He only pedals herbal remedies and cheese.

I require a good calendar and scheduling system that will integrate to Windows and Mac machines.
    Wireless enabled.
    Good email program.

It would be nice if it had handwriting recognition or a good touch screen keyboard of some sort.

It's an Ipaq of some sort. I'll look at it again when I get home.

    Hooray for turtlenecks. Turtles too.

Turtles can be chompy, but generally they're neato.

With the palm wifi card you can get any one of these palms and still get wifi: Zire™ 72 / Tungsten™ E2, T3, T5 / Treo™ 700w, 700wx

    http://www.palm.com/us/products/accessories/expansioncards/P10952U.html

Plus, check the factory discounts page regularly:

    http://store.palm.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=1179667&clickid=mainnav_outlet_txt

Frankly, if I wasn't toting a smartphone, I'd still have a palm Vx. Greatest palm ever made. Itty bity with ass-kicking battery life. Won't do wifi, but a solid-as-hell palm. Second choice would be the T5. Again solid, this time with HUGE fricking screen and a LOT cheaper than the Tx. Add card for Wifi.

Don't forget that you also want bluetooth on a Palm so you don't have to tote around a hotsync cable with your laptop.
