I took this by the union, the campus assistance and visitors center. I like this shot. I'm going to go back and get some more, maybe get a better angle. Regardless, I'm going to print this and stick it in my office at work. :)

I think, at least. It doesn't look all that red.

No, just sort of scarlet-maroony.

Come ON.

I wasjed the color out to emphasize the broken vits. From the angle I tok it, all I saw were holes, cracks, crumbles and other random age-telling characteristics. I decided to emphasize this in post processing.

It's maroon in reality.

Huh? It's the CAVC by the union according to the map I found.

The CIVC is indoors and occupies about a third of the first floor. The building also includes the Morgridge Center (volunteer and public service clearinghouse), orientation and new student programs, the Multicultural Student Center, International Student Services, and (taking up the entire third floor) the undergrad admissions office. It was formerly an armory and gymnasium, hence its official name of the Armory and Gymnasium. It is the shit, except when the elevators break.

Ooooo, buttresses.

Don't see them much any more. The building looks much like a castle.

Thanks. I like it too. Funny thing, I took one shot of this building - this one. I lucked out. I may go back and try to get more.

Wow, I get a very emotional reaction to that shot. Maybe just because I'm in a particular frame of mind tonight. But I can't quite put it into words. The photograph expresses it too eloquently for me to compete.

I was editing this while watching Riget with lady_fox and sculplady. I think the creepiness of the series infiltrated my image. :)

But at the dutch angle and the contrast, the building does have a really strong impact. It is nifty.

I like it.
Makes me feel like I'm tipping over.
Love the reflection in the windows....
