It looks kinda like the One Ring.
Or a UFO.

Space Elves?

RE: earlier post. I worry too much about labels and the respect they do or do not bring. Fuck it. It is what it is.

No, in Chicago. I was there on the 8th for my BDay dinner with my Dad and sister.

Dammit. I was just about to check their website to find out where the closer one than that was.

Like I said, the lighting is complex. You've got a center bit, several outward sources, and the outside light. I guess the camera picks up on it.

True. THe outside bit looks like nuclear winter. :) I'll have to watch that.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. if you balanced more toward the exterior light, the interior would get way too dark. and you've got a minimum of photo realestate that's blown out, so it's easier to take in because it's balanced out by the rest of the image.

great composition!

If you think there's something wrong with the way the window turned out (I think it's fine) or maybe you just want to try out a technique, you can boost the dynamic range of a photo by taking multiple exposures at different settings and then combining them.

Haven't been there in a few years, though.

It's blurry! Hit that bitch with a sharpen. You know you wanna.

Exact opposite advice from me. Next time, use a larger aperture so the chandelier is still in focus but the rest of the image doesn't distract from it. I love the composition, it works very well. Blurry can be useful! Drat not having any of my work in digital form here.
