"Every Cthulhu begins with 'grxxxllbbyyrits'"
My neck is fine and my posture is already getting much better. Now I just get uncomfortable looking at the keyboard to type.

Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely industrious devotee this year.

In October, I stopped [info]Aetrix9 from defiling Lovecraft's grave (-20 points). In March, I rescued [info]lerite from being sacrificed (-200 points). Yesterday, I sacrificed [info]ocarina_justin to Cthulhu (500 points). In June, I called down the wrath of Yog-Sothoth upon [info]rianwyn (65 points). When the stars were right, I defiled the grave of that traitor, Lovecraft (90 points). In November, I visited my relatives in Innsmouth (100 points).

In short, I have been very good (535 points) and deserve to be eaten first.

By the way, I saw Rent last week. I didn't really like it beyond the music. I'm willing to bet Hollywood is to blame so I'd still like to see the play. I think what bugged me the most was that nearly all the characters had AIDS but I imagine that is due to the Zeitgeist of when it was written. I was expecting more message with that much of the characters infected but I don't think there was much of one in the movie.

Now I'm going to have Out Tonight stuck in my head all day.

Congrats to chuzhuzhe for Chelonia! Woo!

So all that Yog-Sothoth crap was your fault? Thanks, man, thanks.

As far as RENT goes... somehow it is a super-popular musical event... but it's never been a favorite of mine. I like a lot of the music (and, again, I think a good deal of it is crap). I haven't seen the movie (I will), but I don't expect too much.

Maybe I expected more because everyone raves about it. I may have fallen for hype! Egads! I give the movie a big "Eh?"

You should be happy for Yog-Sothoth. It' is an honor to have one's ilfe disrupted by the elder gods!

Disruption -does- have it's finer points, I have to say.

I can't imagine that RENT could be any worse than Phantom of the Opera, though, on the screen... but if it is, somehow... then no more musicals-brought-to-film for me ever again. Ever. (Though if they do 'Miss Saigon, I could maybe be persuaded...)

The good part of Phantom is that the play is fairly short, at least movie length. I wonder if Rent is a longer show that got chopped to bits by the writer/director. Also, they may have taken parts out to make it less controversial... Maybe I should just get the text and read it.

Don't bother to read it...

Go and see it in Appleton.

Info isn't up on the Fox Cities PAC website yet, but you can do a ticketmaster search. It plays the 24th and 25th of February.
