Hauntingly evocative of familiar environments! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who feels the need to slip away for online communication at times.

Indeed. LJ keeps my brain from fleeing durning the slower bits of camp.

Psychologically speaking, I'm on LJ much more reliably than I'm at work. I was bound to notice, as I pay a wee bit too much attention to LJ. My work ethic is pretty poor. But my online life is rich and varied!

My Star Trek and comic book figures have moved to a dark shelf in a bright office across the parking lot. They pretty much only look down on my officemate anymore.

One life, rich and varied, is probably better than decades of writing manuals, ne? It is the freedom we seek that makes human, etc. etc.

Watch out for that office mate - your figures may revolt. :)
