Oiy, with the calories already.
Been reading up on weight loss, muscle gain etc.
I need to intake significantly more calories to build muscle mass - lean or otherwise.

On an average day, where I don't succumb to carb-frenzy, I get about 1200 calories.
I've bought protein bars to add some protein and a few calories...
so that adds about 400 calories, if I eat two a day between meals.

That leaves me needing about 300 more or so to build muscle mass.

D'oh.
Never expected this would be a problem.

i find i have this problem too. I didnt when i lived at home, but now i'm on my own and i cant afford to eat well, or enough. now i have to get by on some protein powder when i can get it, and lots of eggs and frozen chicken.

do this for lunch.

get spinich greens or spring greens, make a dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

add skim milk cheese, oregeno, italian seasoning and thyme if you like it.

then add grilled chicken breats and dry ramen noodles to add crunch. you can get good calories and lots of protien, and olive oil is great for you.

thats how i load up on meals, and it's easy to make in pieces to take with you.

That sounds like...work. I would prefer to be soft and cuddly than to put so much effort into things. :~P

It is work but the benefits are ridiculous.

I highly recommend Bolthouse farms Chai Latte with 19 grams of protein in each bottle. The larger bottles are only about $3 at Woodmans. They also have other all natural juices and nutrient type drinks. They're super tasty, no sugar or added salt, etc. Deliciousness...

I shall investigate. I wonder if Verona's local grocer carries it...
