Writer's Block: Love on LiveJournal

Have you ever had a crush on another LiveJournal user? If so, did you confess your feelings? What happened?

Gosh, yes. It is terrible, really. Because I am quiet, shy and decidedly independent I can't seem to make friends in meatspace. Thus, I find friends on the internet which breeds this quasi-private intimacy wherein I tend to relax and let go. Add to this that we tend to show only the best of us, we can be some perfect expression of ourselves.

And yes, I crush on that, fall in love with that.
I fall in love at the drop of a hat. It is a great ability that creates no end of trouble for me.

And, really, I'm content with this: my easy falling, the digital connection, friendships as friendships strained or otherwise by lust or love. I really just enjoy the contact with people in any form, happy with what you want to explore.

So, yes I have plenty of LJ crushes and no, I'll never seek to change it when it works so well as it is.

Right, now that I'm done being vulnerable, I'm going to the newly-moved antique mall.

We Approve of Our Throne, Yes

We Approve of Our Throne, Yes

Ok, can I just say here the following:
1) I love antiques and "antiquing," as it were.
2) I am quite straight.

I've been trying to find some 70's modern furniture for the living room in our house. My favorite antiques mall just opened their new space so I went this weekend. Holy cow, so much fantastic furniture, including this throne - one of a matching set.

And I want them. They won't fit anywhere in the house as they're this odd blend of Ming oriental carving and Victorian fabric (it may be original, but it looks wrong to me). They are INCREDIBLE and I want them.

But, I did find some great orange leather chairs that could work as extra seating. Andd some really fantastic lamps that need to be rewired.

Oh yeah. Love antiques.
Also: straight, thanks.
