EDIT: BORED BORED BORED. Problematically, I had to figure out on my own through T&E much of what I'm learning in the first parts of this class. :|
Though I haven't posted, this is still weighing heavily in my mind. I'm off to Hilldale mall tonight. Apparently they have a UW store. This may flop, though, causing me to evacuate to the State Street stores in hopes of getting some general psych books.
Study study study. Oiy. In further research it looks like GMU and ODU are pretty selective as far as the numbers game goes, but I think I can swing it with a good psych gre score. Work experience in Human Factors may be the lynchpin in my application though.
-Christ, the keyboard in this training room sucks. It's wavey and not designed to work with one hand - the bastards.-
I'm trying not to get down on it, though. I've got a fighting chance. I'm frightened that my letters of recommendation will be sub par. I've managed to convince myself that Alexis, my advisor adn mentor for most of my psych degree, hates the hell out of me because our experiments petered out. We got no data. But I could have sent out more surveys. I could have worked more that semester... course I may have been committed the following semester had I finished at all.
Regardless, I need to email her and Greg and Suzanne about letters soon. The more I wait the less time they'll have the the larger my ulcer shall become.
Otherwise, I'm so freakin' pumped about graduate school.
Side bar - may be removing Berkeley general psych program in lieu of either their vision research ergo program or UC-Davis' cognitive psych program. UC Davis is going live on Epic soon and I could get a tech job with them while getting my degree, potentially.
Good news - Kaiser Permanente is out in Virginia which means i could work there (maybe) as a tech as well as get healthcare with Epic software. It's not about the software, it's about the types of companies with which Epic does business. KP has fundamentally reorganized their structure to be more like ours.
Bugger the spelling. This keyboard is hurting my fingers.
