God is for pansies then, by your logic.

A lot of people would probably agree with that. The meek shall inherit the Earth, after all.

Phuck Gawd.

This "meek" thing really needs better definition.

Pansy is an unfortunate name, especially if a man. It wasn't a man, was it?

I'm not religious but believe in higher powers. I pretty much wanted to call moocowrich a pansy. :)

hehe. Naming your child "Candy" is like naming them "Geeves." You're pretty much deciding their fate right there. I've never heard of an Candy's publishing award winning articles in any science journals...

Though I love the idea of trailer park dressed Candy, smacking her gum, receiving a nobel prize in particle physics. "Like.. OH MY GAWD! I totally win!"

Actually, I am a pansy, but I cannot do Logic, so your argument does not follow.
If x is a pansy then x can do logic.
Lisa is a pansy.
Lisa cannot do logic.
See, no entailment.
That graphic is, however, my background.

Yay background! :)

You're a pansy? I thought you were a pixie.
I'm not especially good at logic, but I've never taken a formal class on it. I'm just the idea man.

Nowhere in the statement "Logic is for pansies" is it implied that pansies can do logic. It's just "for" them.

I think a better way to write it out would be in the form: For(x,y). x is for y. For(Logic, Pansies).

The two-place predicate removes the connotation of ability to actually do logic. It doesn't really matter if you can do logic; if you're a pansy, logic is for you.

"Logic is for pansies" is still a really stupid statement though :-P
