Portrait of a Young Man as The Artist

Smoker.
I pretend I'm cool and get over a deleterious night.

Taken last Thursday.

Feeling creative. Have few life things to say.

Hooked up the DVD player Fox got for me for Giftmas. Picture so crisp. Never has Family Guy been so pretty.

PS: I have not taken up smoking. Fox just bought cloves and I wanted pictures.

Very James Dean.

Or as Art would be quick to point out:

In the CHP, the prop shows the hero is in deep contemplation. He's intelligent and removed, but still worthy of our respect (as shown by the right framing). His eyes are closed, showing removal from the action at hand, yet his gaze is directed down and to the left (clueing us that he'll soon confront the antagonist)

I'm not sure what the red hat symbolizes though...I'll have to catch that in paper revision.

I thought the good guy was supposed to be left framed. Good guys moved left to right. Being right framed means i'm an antagonist. :)

I like the pic. Have no knowledge of the significance of Right or left framed. but i do know that you don't have a black hat on so you're not The Baddie. (or does that just apply in Westerns?)

Westerns. The good guy wore the black fedora in Noir films. In those, the bad guy wore a different colored hat or dressed just like the hero. In Noir, every one is questionable. Unless you're a woman with black hair.. they're your bad news regardless.
