I am loving the X100 so far. The image quality rivals my Nikon – i guess a lot happens in technology in 3 years.
Of note, the dynamic range is impressive. Shooting into the sky or a landscape in open air still allows for a surprising amount of detail in the shadows and highlights. It’s just nuts.
The ND filter for shooting wide-open in daylight is a great tool. So much opportunity for lovely bokeh.
The only problems I’m having right now are composition because of the off-center OVF and adjusting the aperture. It’s a little hard without fingers.
Otherwise, it’s working well. I haven’t found anything interesting on the street yet. Not much happening in town this week.
