We've got two tiny kids. If I were the only adult home, I'd have my kids and nothing else. When we got outside, would I risk my life to go back in for anything else? No. Nothing's worth it.

If Griffin were home and we got out with the kids but still had some hands free would we grab anything else? No. I'm very sentimental and it would by quite sad to lose things, but we'd cope. I'd sure miss my little box of treasures, though, and some irreplaceable pictures that are print-only. I've got a love-hate relationship with stuff. There have been more times than not that moving things has become more of a hassle than not, and a lot of things I've left behind that remind me of dark times and a couple of folks I'm glad to have parted ways with.

I'm glad you asked this question! I'm going to make sure I get those few pictures scanned into our online data backup.
