Jeebus, I love GorillaPod.
GorillaPod goes magnetic
Now, do it for the DSLR-strength pod.

My GorillaPod no longer works and it makes me sad.
It's become too loose over the years to actually support the weight of my lenses.

SADNESS

How badass!

I gave LDC one for Christmas and he was stoked but then got upset with me because I should have told him to bring his camera over when he unwrapped his present. He had to wait until the next day to play with it!

Holy crap you're a terrible, awful, no good, really bad person.

In general, I fear the pods.
At least it knocked

As in break off or something else? I'm impressed. Those things are pretty solid, overall.

The little legs pop out because I sometimes crack the joints. And if there is a way to break something I will figure it out. :)

I also think it has something to do with the different tempertures I subject these things too. Deserts, snow, beach, and everything in between.

"It's become too loose over the years to actually support the weight of my lenses."

Why does "lenses" seem like some kind of euphamism here?
abmann From: abmann Date: February 18th, 2010 08:54 pm (UTC) (Link)
Well, I'm trying not to brag.
tener_duende From: tener_duende Date: February 18th, 2010 08:59 pm (UTC) (Link)
If you've got weighty lenses, I think you've got every reason to!

Way to go Mr Duende, I like how you steered that conversation, I am amused. Now I am also visualizing a pic of what "else" my gorilla pod could support....

It supported your mom. All night.

Financially.

OH BURN

I love my gorilla pod, but when I upgraded to full frame it was just too heavy, even with my mincy little lensbaby or 50mm on it. I still use it for certain things, but the legs are basically laying flat supporting the camera just barely above the floor.

Yes, indeed. Best upgrade with me. :D
