Writer's Block: Love on LiveJournal
Have you ever had a crush on another LiveJournal user? If so, did you confess your feelings? What happened?

Gosh, yes. It is terrible, really. Because I am quiet, shy and decidedly independent I can't seem to make friends in meatspace. Thus, I find friends on the internet which breeds this quasi-private intimacy wherein I tend to relax and let go. Add to this that we tend to show only the best of us, we can be some perfect expression of ourselves.

And yes, I crush on that, fall in love with that.
I fall in love at the drop of a hat. It is a great ability that creates no end of trouble for me.

And, really, I'm content with this: my easy falling, the digital connection, friendships as friendships strained or otherwise by lust or love. I really just enjoy the contact with people in any form, happy with what you want to explore.

So, yes I have plenty of LJ crushes and no, I'll never seek to change it when it works so well as it is.

I'm Only Partially There 2010.35

Right, now that I'm done being vulnerable, I'm going to the newly-moved antique mall.

One of my best friends met his wife on LiveJournal. It took some convincing from me and another friend to get him to talk to her.

What a sappy story. :)

I've met almost every person I know thanks to the internet.

I see nothing wrong with this.

I don't think that is either.

The issue for me is that I develop crushes so easily and that I don't ever bother doing anything about them.

Most of my wonderful friends in Madison I met via LJ, so I would have to concur that is is an amazing venue to work with. On the crushing note, I am seriously "crushing" on your self photos, that is one element of my photography I have yet to master. I especially admire your seeming comfort at being in front of as well as behind the camera. Go you!

I'm comfortable in front of the camera when I'm in charge of the shot. I don't know if I'm nearly as easygoing when not also the photograph. See, I can hide all my flub when I'm in charge.

I wish. I take a long time to fall out of it. Part if being a Cancer, I think. It is exceedingly hard to let go of emotions.
