Brilliant Orange

More rope! I finished the Irish rope set today with the brilliant orange, pictured here – can see the three colors together below.

It is rather nice, kind of a pumpkin spice color in sunlight and a more vibrant orange indoors under fluorescent lights.

I think next time I will try adding a little bit of midnight blue to the orange and see how that changes the color. I expect it will mitigate some of the yellow undertone from the hemp. But it could make it a muddier green hue. We’ll see?

Total rope count:

Fuschia: 3x30ft

Emerald green: 2x30ft

Brilliam orange: 3x30ft

Natural: 1x30ft

Plus an amount of Twisted Monk blue rope bought many, many moons ago. I am not sure how much of it I have any more as I don’t really use it in favor of the rope I’ve dyed myself.

What is going to happen when I get into suspension? So much rope.

Blue + Orange = Grey.

Purple neutralizes yellow; if you want to neutralize the yellow of the rope then use a touch of purple, or a reddish blue (ultramarine as opposed to a cobalt).
