Twitter continues to impress me both in its ability to get news out… - Portrait of a Young Man as The Artist

Twitter continues to impress me both in its ability to get news out instantaneously (and mostly accurately) but it's compassion.
Example of the latter: #edano_nero (Edano, sleep!) directed at the Japanese Chief Cabinet secretary who has been the public face of Japan since Fukushima started.

I'm starting a game, people. An old-school tabletop game, one of my favorite sandbox style games. The one that takes no up-front work for me because damned if my players would follow my plot anyway.
Mm... game.

Was that sarcastic? I've been mostly seeing the other end of the spectrum where people continue to think this is for Pearl Harbor. I'm sure there's positives too, but... so much fail in the world.

It probably depends on who you follow. There have been some big movers and shakers in recent news that draw some great compassion from people.

Yeah, Twitter follows all types. I'm glad people are more willing to help than otherwise, but some people should just stay off the internet as far as I'm concerned.

Also saw this off-topicy thing, feel free to show to ladyfox:

Ah. This isn't the one that requires putting on costumes and hanging out at the cemetery being dark and mysterious, right? LARPers have tried to make me one of them before, and I've always escaped.

I don't run LARPs and haven't played in one since college. Those games left a bad taste in my mouth because the LARP players couldn't leave game at game and it became the only conversation topic at pretty much every lunch and dinner table every day, without end.

That is good to know. It's always been outside my geek comfort zone... which pretty much means way off the galactic rim in the vast void of intergalactic space.
