I'm all for good coffee when ever I can get it but when Step 1 in the process is essentially "do something completely out of your control" I fail to find the point?

I think this was an excuse to make those pictures.

Do any of you actually have access to full beans for your coffee at work? I don't think I've ever seen a bag of beans in a work place.

Do you get whole beans for work coffee?

What the hell is a coffee bean?

I do and even have a grinder in the break room.

[Unknown LJ tag] is my coffee bean.

I grind him with my teeth.

Oh crap, I remembered that I have chocolate-covered espresso beans in my bag right now.

Lastly: You guys, I love my new car. I totally understand why people do things like buy new, sporty cars.
Mine is sporty AND efficient!
I was zipping around traffic Saturday to test the handling and I started getting better gas mileage - there's an on-board computer.

Ehh? Weird.
Yeah in Australia it's up to the company, I worked somewhere with a professional machine and somewhere that didn't even have a plunger but the boss would ofte pay for take away coffees. Government departments don't supply anything.

I don't think I'd trust people to grind it properly; they rarely get the amounts right to brew a pot.

Though here the pots, filter sizes and grounds packets aren't correctly calibrated. Drives me crazy. This coffee could be so much better.

Then I remember we have an espresso shop on site and the girls there know what they're doin'.

I enjoy working it all out for myself because I'm a nerd about this stuff, but if you have money and no time then buying it is better.

Ditto that. I make my coffee at home from bean to puck to espresso. I do, though, need to take the machine apart as the pressure has been off.

Working in a store in a mall is NOT conducive to anything like real coffee. Thanks to my addict father, I actually know full well how to grind and brew coffee, but only one kind of coffee: King Hell Killer Strong Coffee.

Maybe I need to bring my own beans and grinder in....

It's really the only solution.

Your LJ tag is broken! I wanted to choose that one.

Though, the last option is just as good.

Can't fix polls once released. Think of it like a Mad Lib!

I'm sorry if my answer messes up your poll. Somehow I doubt I'm your target respondent.

Darn you, outlier!

Do you even have a break room with a coffee machine? That would be weird in your case.

We don't have a coffee machine in the break room, but we do currently have an extra grinder in there in case the main one breaks. It's not, ya know, plugged in or set up or anything, but it's there. Ha!

My employer buys whole bean coffee. Unfortunately, it's such acidic stuff that it makes me feel ill...so fresh-ground doesn't make much of a difference here.

And YAY new car!

I told you so. :]

And I'd call myself more of a tea drinker than a coffee drinker. I drink coffee when I am out but when I am home and want something warm to drink I choose tea.
