I have Plans tonight, LJ. Fox is off doing stuff so I'm going to sit down and read and and 'rite (and rithmetic) at a coffee shop. A coffee shop down town.
I know! I'm crazy! I even brought shower stuff so I can clean up after my fartlek run tonight (ffffaaaarrrrtttlllleeeekkkkk).

In other news, my right knee is stiff and a little sore.

LJ! How do you find inspiration? My brain is accustomed to capturing moments instead of writing and I want to do both right now!

And for fun, the last poem I wrote (that is still like) was in 2007: I met an agitated man.

Current Mood: creative creative

One thing that studying creative writing at a very intense university taught me was there was no such thing as "waiting for inspiration"; you sit down and you write. It might suck, you might delete it all tomorrow, but you just write every day, until it becomes a habit.

Lots of truth there. In 2005, I did a poem a day project that eventually became two poems a day because exercising my creative generated more and more.

Not that I'm necessarily saying that everything was awesome but there's still a lot there which I enjoy still.

Yeah, I definitely don't write great stuff every day...but I do write every day, and have been doing so for about three and a half years now and that discipline is really important.
